Bespoke Birdworld
Bespoke Birdworld is an intimate experience.
Meet our keepers at 9.30am, before the aviary opens to the public, for an exclusive 30-minute tour. Highlights include hand feeding an endangered cassowary, parrots, lorikeets and other birds their breakfast. Max 6 guests. Min 2. Must be booked by 1pm the day prior.

The Kuranda Explorer package includes 3 great attractions. Birdworld Kuranda.
Kuranda Koala Gardens. Kuranda Riverboat, which runs 45-minute tropical rainforest river cruises, on the mighty Barron River. These cruises are relaxing and informative. Bookings are essential, as space is limited.
Kuranda by Design
A VIP package where you get to spend some exclusive, small group time, with the keepers at Birdworld and Kuranda Koala Gardens.
It starts with a Bespoke Birdworld tour and ends with a 30-minute guided tour of Kuranda Koala Gardens, including meeting a wombat, a koala patting photo and more.
Three Park Pass - Great Australian Wildlife Experience
This package includes admission to Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures, Kuranda Koala Gardens & Birdworld Kuranda for a special package rate.
Hartley’s Crocodile Adventures is the best place to see crocodiles and local wildlife in the North. See an array of wildlife, enjoy our entertaining and educational wildlife presentations & take a boat cruise on Hartley’s Lagoon (included).
Kuranda Koala Gardens offers the opportunity to hold a Koala (extra charge) plus meet kangaroos and wallabies in a free-range enclosure. See the rare Greater Bilby, the Northern Bettong, Mahogany Glider, and more in the ‘Nocturnal Wonders’ exhibit. Visitors can also view wombats, Quokkas, Freshwater Crocodiles, pythons, frogs and lizards.
Birdworld Kuranda is a free flight aviary housing a dazzling array of native Australian and spectacular rare and exotic species from the disappearing rainforest habitats of the tropical world.
Useful Information
- Kuranda Koala Gardens & Birdworld Kuranda are NOT in close proximity to Hartley's.
- It is suggested that the Kuranda parks are visited on a different day than the Hartley's visit.
- Hartley's is in Wangetti, 45 minutes north of Cairns.
- Kuranda Koala Gardens & Birdworld Kuranda are situated in Kuranda within the Heritage Markets.
- Allow 3 - 4 hours at Hartley's Crocodile Adventures.
- Allow 30 - 45 minutes at each of the Kuranda parks.

- Our Kuranda parks are open from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm.
